I have a printer. IT IS ALREADY UP AND RUNNING ON THE NETWORK, and will print fine from existing computers.
I went to the driver install and tried to add a new laptop to the printer.
The new laptop IS ON THE NETWORK THE PRINTER IS ON.
It would not print. The message "Printer Needs Intervention" comes up always from this laptop.
The printer WILL PRINT from the other computers on the network, it DOES NOT need intervention.
Print and Scan doctor finds the printer and says there's NOTHING WRONG. But still it won't print from the new laptop.
The new laptop DOES SEND COMMANDS to the printer to print an internal test page.

Check the type of port the driver is trying to use. Windows 10 loves to configure drivers using a WSD port, which are notorious for intermittent connections and not reconnecting to printers after sleep mode or disruptions like out of paper. Change the port to a Standard TCP/IP port and see if that resolves the issue.
