Hi, I'm trying starting up my old hp deskjet f4580 and I can not get it connected to the home wifi. I can print using a USB cable. Is there any way to install the printer as a network printer?

Hi @P2026
1. Please remember that this printer is at least 15 years old,
so this printer Deskjet F4580, only works with first network speeds like 2.4G networks.
2. Then if you have a new home wifi , it could probably works with 5G, and you may need to change your router home wifi to allow to work with older devices with a 2.4G, you may ask your local Internet provider.
3. After you setup your home wifi to provide a 2.4G network,
then you need to install again printer using your USB cable,
and then run again installer operation to setup your printer to Wifi network connection.
4. You have your printer working with USB cable, or you could follow all the steps to try to install printer on new home Wifi.
5. Probably you have right now, your printer in the best possible connection to your computer. 🤔
So you may need to ask yourself what is the best ? 🤔
