So I have a printer that i got recently and i have documents that i need to print out that containt both legal and letter sizes. I got the printer to print from both tray 1 and tray 2 depending on the size the paper was that it needed to print on, and now it stopped all of a sudden and I cant get it to work again.....From a pdf file btw.  I have the "select from source" checked off, idk what went wrong i did nothing different

This sounds like an application issue.

You confirmed the printer can print both legal and letter documents when you print your pages individually.  That means the application is not processing the print job correctly and isnt something we can influence.

Check the applications support website for possible solutions and configuration options on this one first.  See if they have guides that can explain how to print in multiple page types/sizes.

For example when printing in Word it allows you to change the paper type on a certain page.  However the document renders all pages beyond that point as the new paper type/size.  If you wanted only one page in a different way then you have to select the next page and convert it back so that the rest of the document prints a different way.  Each application can be fussy in this way and likely has a process or support document to walk you through how to acomplish your goal.  Once you send the correct application data to the printer, the printer will respond accordingly.

It's when I'm using Adobe pdf files. Like I said at one point I got it to work properly then out of now where it stopped
