Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Suddenly my printer started to print totally black pages - new black toner cartridge about a month ago.

Do you still have the old toner cartridge. It could be the toner so if you can try another good toner cartridge. I would also remove and reseat the black toner cartridge.

Thanks - it was a faulty toner cartridge - Staples replaced it at no charge.

I  have a HP Envy  5643.  It prints properly when sent from computer but when scanning or copying all it gives is an all black page ????
