Printing on 11 x 17 paper

I loaded tray 2 with 11 x 17 ledger paper. The tray doesn't close. options for copying don't include 11 x 17, although dimensions inside the tray say you use that sie

What is your printer ? On many printers, you CAN'T push tray to the end when extending to load 11x17 or legal size papers.

For the Officejet Pro 7720, 7730 or 7740 printers as an example, the tray should not fully close with A3 paper loaded.
