Hello.


The following hardware and software are available:

Windows Server 2016 (Version 1607, OS Build 14393.0)
Server is in terminal server mode
Windows 10 Client (Version 1903, OS Build 18362.592)
The client connects to the server via RDP
RDP application version 10.0.18362
HP LaserJet Pro MFP M125ra Printer
Connected to the client via USB (no other interfaces)
Printer driver version 15.0.15309.1315 dated August 18, 2016
The printer is configured for shared access and the client in a terminal session connects to it through shared access.

 

Problem:
The printer is configured at the client and in the terminal session. The printer is printing. But if you restart the client PC, then in the terminal session the printer stops printing. When I try to print a test page, I get an error: "The test page did not print correctly. Do you want to open the print troubleshooting tool? Failed to create a print job."
If you print any page from the client even if it is blank from Word, then after that the printer starts printing in the terminal session.

Tell me how to solve this problem?

Здравствуйте.


Имеется следующее оборудование и ПО:

Сервер Windows 2016 (Версия 1607, сборка ОС 14393.0)
Сервер работает в режиме сервера терминалов
Клиент Windows 10 (Версия 1903, сборка ОС 18362.592)
Клиент подключается к серверу по RDP
Версия RDP приложения 10.0.18362
Принтер HP LaserJet Pro MFP M125ra
Подключен к клиенту по USB (других интерфейсов не имеет)
Версия драйвера принтера 15.0.15309.1315 от августа 18 2016
Принтер настроен на общий доступ и клиент в терминальной сессии подключается к нему через общий доступ.

 

Проблема:
Принтер настроен у клиента и в терминальной сессии. Принтер печатает. Но если перезагрузить ПК клиента, то в терминальной сессии принтер печатать перестает. При попытке напечатать пробную страницу выдается ошибка: "Пробная страница напечатана неправильно. Открыть средство устранения неполадок печати? Не удалось создать задание печати".
Если из клиента напечатать любую страницу хоть даже пустую из Word, то после этого принтер начинает печатать в терминальной сессии.

 

Подскажите как решить данную проблему?

Hi,

PCLmS printers are not expected to work and not supported in such Remote Desktop / Citrix environments and will fail to print, due to the way such a driver work and use the driver to process the print job on the host computer and not by the hardware level itself.

 

For RDP printing, you need to use a supported printer, as listed and instructed by the following technical guide, your printer is not supported for such an envoirnment:
