Your commands helped me change the serial number on a HP1320 but I cant seem to get them to work on an HP P2035n.  Is there a different command to make that happen?  Thanks for all your help.

There are several threads that describe a serial number reset by sending commands from a Command Prompt:

I would check with whoever you purchased your replacement formatter board from and ask for verificiation.

If that doesnt work then the next step is to contact HP for warranty support or look up a Service Manual for that model.

I never got the process to work on my P2015's so I threw in the towel.  Wish I could answer your question but I cannot.  Good luck!

P2035 is host-based printer, and it doesn't fully support PJL commands, that's why you can't set serial number with PJL commands if you are using them.
