i have the same issue, my model number is CM1415fnw color MFP.
I always had it connected with ethernet but now i am trying to move it to different part of the house where there is no cable connection. Wifi refused to connect no matter what I do. All default resets have been done, firmware upgraded but still no help.
Can you help?

@BIGMAKDADDY, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Make sure the ethernet cable is disconnected from the printer when you are trying to connect the printer to a wireless network.
This product does not support simultaneous Ethernet and wireless connectivity.
To connect the printer to the wireless network,
On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network setup > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard > choose your network
You may also run Network test on the printer if the printer fails to connect to a network. Share the image of the report on your next post.
Let me know how this goes.

According to the wireless report, the security method on the printer has changed and hence it is unable to connect to your wireless router.
On the printer, go to Setup > Network setup > Restore defaults.
Now run the wireless setup wizard again.
If this does not work, resetting the printer to its factory settings may help.
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
- In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage
If the issue persists, contact your Internet service provider and check if the security/WPA authentication between the printer and the router has to be the same.
Keep me posted.
