I am having the same issue, any chance you can publish the fix for this? I have already perfromed the standard reset from the menu.
I am only able to print once when the printer is first installed - after that it goes offline. I have updated the firmware to the latest (M277_MFP_Series_FW_Update-20150716) - still not able to print over wireless

Thanks for the detailed reply. I tried all methods and no success.
In the end I added an Apple AirPort Time Capsule router in front of the Bell Hub and it works fine now. It was the Bell Hub router that was giving the problem.

Hi @Dillon_67,
Welcome back to the HP Support Forums!
I see that you're experiencing issues with your HP Color Laserjet Pro MFP M277dw Printer going offline. I would be happy to help you and please remember to return to this thread and mark 'Accept as Solution', if I have successfully helped you resolve the issue. If you wish to say 'thanks' for my effort to help, click the 'thumbs up' to give me a Kudos.
It sounds like there could be communication issue between your computer and the printer or there is an issue within the OS.
In order to assist you better, I may require more information.
What operating system are you using?
Mac OS X: How Do I Find Which Mac OS X Version Is on My Computer.
How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.
I would start by perform the steps within these guides, HP LaserJet Printers - 'Offline' Printer Status Message Displays.
Next, assign the printer a static IP address. Please use this document 'Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection' as a guideline of how to setup a static IP address. It is a good idea to assign the printer a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For example, some routers DHCP default range is 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.200. So, I would use 192.168.0.232.
While in the EWS, open the Network tab and select IPv4.
Set the manual DNS on the printer.
- Set the Primary DNS as 8.8.8.8
- And the Secondary DNS as 8.8.4.4
If you're using Windows 10, continue on.
Please try these documents, HP Printers - Printer Problems after Upgrading to Windows 10 and Run the troubleshooter for Windows apps.
If you're still experiencing issues, continue on.
- Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files. It is always a good idea to back up your data before proceeding.
- System file check (SFC) Scan and Repair System Files & DISM to fix things SFC cannot.
If the issue persists, you could try switching your printer port from using the WSD to a Standard TCP/IP port.
To do this, you will need your printers current IP address. The Network Configuration page shows the network settings for the product. To Print this page; Press the Network button () on the product control panel.
3. Click on the Ports tab along the top of the page.
4. Click on the Add Port... button.
5. If you have the option for HP Standard TCP/IP Port, select it other wise just select the Standard TCP/IP Port.
6. Click the New Port... button.
7. Click Next > button in the wizard.
8. Enter your printers current IP address from your Network Configuration page. Note: The Port Name will auto-populate. I would recommend putting a check mark in the box; Always print to this device, even if it's IP address changes.
9. Click Next > button in the wizard.
10. Click the Finish button.
11. This may take you back to this Printer Ports window,
12. Select the port you configured and click Configure Port.
13. Uncheck SNMP Status Enabled.
14. Then Click OK and Apply in the Properties Window.
15. Try it and see if this resolves this issue you are experiencing.
If you need further assistance, please let me know the following information above. Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hearing from you. Good Luck!

I am attempting to resolve this issue. However, there are 2 things that I found that do not apply to my situation. 1. I am using Mac OS 10.12.1 (Sierra). Secondly, this link doesn't work http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02241610. i have had this problem with the printer going offline for months. It is extemely annoying, since i use airprint most often. I also run a home based business. The printer is currently connected directly through ethernet to the router. I would really love a solution the fixes the problem. My printer is an HP Color Laser Jet MFP M476dw.
