Laser-jet P2055d
The rear female port where the USB cable connects to the printer has been broken loose and dropped into the inside of the casing. Looking for a manual or advice on how to safely disassemble the plastic casing so that I may fasten the port hub back into place.

Quick follow-up...

If you buy a used formatter make sure it came out of a 2055D printer, if the formatter comes from a Simplex machine it will not print 2-sided in your machine.

You can do an internet search for the service manual for that model and you will find it on some websites but it is not on the HP website.

I believe you will find that the Port is part of the formatter board and you will have to replace the board.
