HP LaserJet 5000N, Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit, using original HP cartridges

I replaced the toner cartridge about a week ago.  The last few days  we have been getting the replace toner message again every time anyone prints to this printer.  I thought it was a defective toner cartridge, so I put a new one in today but we are still getting the same message after the replacement.  So now it looks like the printer and not the toner - is there something I can reset or clear?  I have tried turning the printer off and back on already.

Thanks!

You could try a cold reset but keep in mind if using a network connection it will reset the network connection. If using a network with the power off I would remove the jet direct network card and then perform the cold reset and then turn the printer off again and put the card back in. If just using the parallel connection just do the cold reset where you turn off the printer and then press the big green button while turning the printer on and when cold reset appears in the menu release and the printer will come to ready after warmup. If you still have the issue and it prints ok just do not worry about the message.
