HP Enterprise M608

Replaced eMMC chip in our M608 LaserJet, turned it on, screen shows HP logo starting up 1 of 8, then the screen goes completely white, then black.  Printer will power on, but screen is black.  We moved the chip to a second M608 and it caused the same issue. How do we get these back into working order?  I have two non-functional M608 printers. Is the eMMC chip bad?  Any help in this would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Did you follow the proper steps during replacement of going into the preboot menu and resetting the drive password and then updating the firmware? If you simply install the EMMC the device will not work.

Printer was off. Installed new chip. Powered on printer and was awaiting the preboot screen so we can install the new firmware. Never got to that point.  ( Printers that take an eMMC chip will not work if there is no chip present, they simply give you an 99.39.73 error). We had that error. Placed chip on to the formatter board. Started printer. HP splash screen shows up, begins boot stage, then turns all white, then black. Turned printer off. Removed chip, to see if we get the error for missing eMMC chip. Printer powers on, but screen is black. Put chip back in, nothing; same result. We have a second M608 missing a chip, has the 99.39.73 error, placed eMMC chip in it, causes same issue.  Need to know, if a bad eMMC chip can cause this "Brick" like issue.  Any suggestions?  Has anyone else had this issue?

Any chance these printers have the optional TPM? I have not run into this issue on any of this series.

The M608 does have the TPM option, however the card was not installed in these.  If the TPM was enabled and the card was removed, there will be an error indicating that.  TPM errors ( 33.04.XX ) did not display since the TPM cards were not installed on these boards.  As previously posted the printers did power up and showed the 99.39.67 error.  Followed procedure outlined in HP to put in eMMC card. That is when the screen went black on both and has not returned. Incidentally we did install that same card in a M506 and it worked fine.  Stumped on this one.
