MFP m681z
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a MFP  HP M681z laserjet.  I dont have the user name and password and i need to reset it.  I did the reset in the menu system but that still did not allow me to login as admin.  I cant turn on some of the printers options like web services and remote scanning which I really need.  How do i do a full and complete reset of all setting including the Admin Password.

Thank you.

You need to perform a partial clean from the reboot menu. Turn off printer, turn on and watch the control panel. The round HP logo will come up. Watch for a black line to appear under the logo, when it does. Immediately touch the logo. A blue screen will come up. Scroll down to administrator and touch OK, then touch Partial clean and press ok. Then use back arrow until you see continue then press ok. Unit will restart and be reset to out of box condition with no settings. All settings are cleared.
