Color Laserjet Pro MFP M181fw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have an HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M181fw and want to enter the maintenance pages, but the printer is asking for a password. Nobody around here  knows the password so I want to reset it. I know it is possible but is a restricted procedure and the HP support will only tell you how to do it in a private message. Strangely if you ask it in a private message directly they will not help you and you need to start a public topic.

Looking forward to the PM of an HP guy

Hello,

Follow these steps:
  1. On the printer control panel, press the OK button to display the Home screen.
  2. Open the Service menu.
  3. Select the Restore Defaults option, and then press the OK button.
    The printer automatically restarts.

I sent you a private message with the procedure to be done before the one above.

Don't hesitate to ask us if you need us.
