HP LaserJet Pro 200 MFP M276nw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We recently upgraded to a high speed all in one modem/router from Xfinity.  We are in the process of connecting all of our devices to this new modem/router.  However, we cannot connect our HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw to the new device because it asks for our security password.  I do not remember setting up a password on the printer itself, and we have no changing the router the printer is connected to without it.  Do I have to factory reset the printer?  If so, how do I do that?  I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer software thinking that would solve the problem which it did not.  Currently, the printer does print, but it is still connected to the old device.  Please Help!

Yes, reset the printer back to factory defaults.

It's as simple as reading your manual like I did.

Page 152...

Restore the factory-set defaults
1. From the Home screen, touch the Setup button.
2. Scroll to and touch the Service menu.
3. Scroll to and touch the Restore Defaults button, and then touch the OK button.
The product automatically restarts.

Thanks for your reply but we have already tried to use the setup and service options (which we did find in the manual). Once you choose service, it is asking for the password (which we do not have) before we can continue.

Is the password it is asking for your SSID password?

Hi, I'm in the same spot as others on this page....I need to reset the password for the system settings on my M276nw printer.  I'll continue to search the web, but if anyone has the info handy, I'd appreciate someone passing it along to me.

thanks!
