Hi, been searching the web and asking how to resolve this issue for quite some time now. So far no one has been able to help. What I have here is a glorified copy machine. Hope you have better luck than I.  I'll keep watching to see if a miracle cure comes along.

I am having the same probelm with my printer.  I am trying to over ride my printer and it asks for a passwrod.  When I try to reset the printer, it asks for a password too.

I have same password problem with my MFP276 😞

I tried this solution:

Restore the factory-set defaults
1. From the Home screen, touch the Setup button.
2. Scroll to and touch the Service menu.
3. Scroll to and touch the Restore Defaults button, and then touch the OK button.
The product automatically restarts.

It did not work.

I also tried to use the setup and service options. Once you choose service, it is asking for the password (which I do not have) before I can continue 😞

Can you help me fixing this issue?

Hi, there are several videos on YouTube that mostly show what the process is, but I'll tell you the steps I used which worked for me (Some of this may be bogus, but it doesn't hurt and gets the result I wanted 🙄 so I just do it).

1) Press and hold down the bottom left corner of the touch
screen
2) With your thumb still on the touchscreen, press the power
button and let the printer shut down.
3) Press and hold the power button with your thumb still
pressing the bottom left corner of the touch screen.
4) If it worked, you'll see the screen display "Permanent
Storage Init."
5) go through the setup and change what you need to.

If it doesn't work, try it again (and again). It took me 3 times to get it right just now....

Hi,  sorry wish I could help, unfortunately, the issue with my printer remains the same. I have tried the methods suggested to me which is basically what is in the manual but still can't get past the need for a password.
