Make sure that in the network settings your network gateway is set correctly so that printer can access the internet properly. Also ensure that your DNS settings are correct because without proper DNS the printer will never be able to find the SMTP server you are trying to use. I suggest that you set your secondary DNS to 8.8.8.8 which is Google's DNS server and provides reliable address translations.
