How can I set up LaserJet 100 color MFP M175nw printer/scanner to work both in wireless (NVP) and USB mode?
The installation appears to treat the two possibilities as exclusive, but if the WiFi is not available, I would like to resort quickly to a fool-proof USB wired option.
Can anyone advise?

Greetings, @Chimney_83,
Unfortunately, it appears that Windows does not have a default driver for the device as complex as LaserJet 100 color MFP M175nw (printer/scanner/copier). Furthermore, the driver included in the internal memory of the device appears not to be compatible with the system (I bought it some years ago and I have a computer with Win10). None-the-less, I found a different solution. For the community, I shall share my successfull installation case:

Greetings @PetrV,
Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.
I understand that you are looking to know if you can configure the printer on your computer over both USB and wireless, is that right?
Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.
Run the printer setup on your computer and configure the printer over USB.
Once the printer is working fine over USB.
Run the printer setup again and add the printer as wireless.
This would create 2 icons for the printer.
You can rename it to USB and Wireless respectively, that way it will be easy for you to select the mode of printing of your choice.
Click here to download the user guide of your printer.
Let me know if this helped.

I have done that. Problem is that when you run the installation the second time (for wireless), the first automatic step is to uninstall the USB drivers, then an automatic restart of the computer and only after that an installation of the wireless. In the printer window both instances of he printer remain, but the original (USB) informs of an absence of the printer driver.
Does it work differently for you?

Thanks for the reply and providing more information.
Let's uninstall the printer completely from your computer first.
Uninstall the printer from "programs and features" which can be accessed by doing a right-click on the Windows button (Please have the printer Off and disconnected during uninstallation.)
Check in device manager, if the printer is listed there, please delete it. (Right-click on the Windows button to access device manager)
Go to devices and printers, select any printer listed there and you will get some options on the top.
Click on print server properties.
You will get a popup, click on the drivers tab and delete all the HP printer drivers listed there, if any.
Delete all the instances of your printer listed in devices and printers.
Restart the PC.
Once the PC is on the desktop, press Win + R, it would bring a Run dialog box,
Type %temp% in the run box and click Ok or hit the Enter button.
It would bring up the temporary files folder. Delete the files in the folder (You might not be able to delete all the files, ignore them).
If possible, delete the printer from the registries using Regedit or using any other 3rd party application.
Restart the PC again.
Download the latest full feature driver from www.hp.com/drivers
Setup the printer for wireless first using the full feature software.
Once you are able to print over wireless.
Connect the printer to your computer using a USB.
Install the printer over USB with Windows built-in drivers. This way the software will not conflict with each other. Click here.
Let me know if this helped.

I tryed this on Win 7 and Win10. The Win7 alows to install only the USB version , stops at 99% with the wireless version , when is suposed to take itself the wifi settings from the PC .The Windows 10 stops at 99 with both drivers. I tryed the manual way , in different ways . I tryed factory reset , hard reset . Only option is the sladge hammer now :robotmad: . Useless junk , never Hp again.
