I upgraded my 2 computers to Windows 10 over the weekend and since I can't print to either of my printers from my desktop computer but my laptop is printing OK.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printers.  When I install they are shown on my network but when I try to print I get a message that says it can't print with the current setup.

When I try to print a PDF document I get the error message that "no pages are selected to print"

I finally uninstalled all of the HP software then reinstalled both of my printers and everything is working.

Try the print and scan doctor.  See if it can reveal any more information about what is going on.

Me too!  It's insanely frustrating.  I have removed and reinstalled the Printer drivers a dozen times.

Anybody know which of the four Drivers on the HP site work best with this printer and Windows 10?

I wish I'd never let the computer upgrade itself!  I didn't even want 10!

When I go to Print, the docs just fill up in a Queue that never empties.  And the Printer doesn't react, or blink, or anything.

Have you ever gotten your P2055dn to work?  If so, how?   I have tried several different methods and cannot get my printer to function with the Win 10 upgrade. I called HP and they tell me this printer isn't compatible with Windows 10. Huh?

Hi!

I had the same problem too but I using win10 (x64) and printer HP P2055d and it printing ok now.

You let try:

  1. Turn off printer.
  2. Go Control Panel\View devices and printers, select “Remove Device” all printers (HP).
  3. Go Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features, uinstall/remove all programs (HP).
  4. Restart computer.
  5. Turn on Printer and wait windows find and know your printer.
  6. Restart computer again.
  7. Then, if windows know your printer is “HP Universal Printing PCL6” is OK. Good luck!

I tried your method not once but several times.  After dealing with HP (chat) support (whose only purpose, it seems, is to sell you a new printer), who tells me this is an old printer and not supported by Windows 10 (4 years? Really?). I loved that printer but HP standing firm.  I did end up buying a new printer (not from chat guy) that is does support Windows 10. Now if I could only get my DELL pc to cooperate.
