Envy 5530
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi, my HP Envy 5530 is making a slight squeaking noise at various times ( when scanning for example ).

Do these printers need any maintenance / lubrication ??

Regards,

David

You cannot lubircate the scanner if that is where the squeek is coming from.  Opening the scanning glass will void your warranty, you are on your own there.

Test a print job and a scan job to see if the squeek comes from the same area or not. Squeeks are usually the result of something rubber rubbing against something its not supposed to.  This often boils down to a roller that is out of order or some gunk on a axle or spindle in teh paper path. Cleaning and swapping rollers usually resolve problems like that.
