Hello Team,

I need help with an issue on my HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4303 printer.

The printer is showing a Non-HP Chip Detected message for cyan and yellow toner cartridges, and I am unable to use the printer normally. Some cartridges that were previously accepted are now being rejected.

I would like assistance in resolving the issue and restoring normal functionality.

Thanks

The issue reported is a cartridge lockout issue, not a routine troubleshooting issue.

My HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4303fdw is displaying “Non-HP Chip Detected” for cyan and yellow cartridges. The troubleshooting link shared does not address the actual support request.

Please process the following support requests:

* Escalate this matter to the appropriate HP support team.
* Provide a written position on whether dynamic security can be disabled on this printer model.
* Provide a written position on whether firmware rollback is supported.
* Provide a case ID / escalation reference.
* Provide a direct resolution path for this issue.

Please do not close this issue with a generic troubleshooting response.

Hello @dhimanarthalpha

That's very strange. In this case, I recommend contacting the warranty service (if you have one) or a technician to look at the printer.

Best regards

I do not need a troubleshooting bot. I need an official HP support case and written escalation.

Device: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4303fdw

Issue: The printer is showing “Non-HP Chip Detected” for cyan and yellow cartridges. Authorized HP Cartridge Policy is already disabled. This is a cartridge lockout issue, not a routine troubleshooting issue.

Support requests:

  1. Create an official HP support case and provide the case ID.

  2. Escalate the matter to the appropriate HP support team.

  3. Provide HP’s written position on whether dynamic security can be disabled on this model.

  4. Provide HP’s written position on whether firmware rollback is supported.

  5. Provide a written resolution path for this issue.

I am specifically requesting written support and a written case record. Please create the case and provide the case ID in writing, even if a phone call is also available. Please provide written support only.

@dhimanarthalpha wrong forum for your issue. This is a user to user support forum not a direct connection to HP support. You need to go to support.hp.com and start a case there.
