HP Laserjet MFP M426fdw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just got a new computer using Windows 10.  When I installed my printer, HP Laserjet MFP M426fdw,  the utility  that I used to check toner levels on  Windows 7 did not install on my computer.  I cannot find anything on Windows 10 settings or the printer icon under installed printers a way to tell how much toner I have left.  On my old computer there was a blue wheel with a wrench across it icon my my desktop that would tell me my toner level.  Does anyone have any information about this printer they could share with me?

Many utilities designed for Win7 did not migrate over to Win10.  If that is the case for your printer model then you are out of luck.

The work around is to print off a printer cartridge status report directly from the control panel of the printer.

Other work arounds would be to attempt to remote into the printer via the HP Toolbox utility (USB) or the printers embedded web server (network connected).  You shoudl be able to review at a glance all the information available about your cartridges from these options.

Thanks so much for your reply regarding my toner level.  I didn't know about this report.  It gave me the information I needed.  Thanks again for your help.
