CP5225
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I am looking for a way to calibrate the CP5225 printer. That should be possible with the toolbox fx. Online search says that I have to install the full software installation programm by HP. Sadly there is only a universal driver left in the HP download section. How do I get the toolbox fx or is there another way to calibrate the printer? thx!

Hi K-I-S,

Does your printer print out of calibration? Could you please provide us a sample picture?

There is an option of calibration in the menus of the printer:

System Setup -> Print Quality -> Full color calibraion

You will have to do this three times in a row. It takes several minutes. After the three full color calibrations print a supplies or demo page to see if there is an improvement.

Also, you can see the event log (config page or EWS) for any calibration errors.

Other reasons that may cause calibration issues are:

- Dirty or faulty CPR sensors

- Damaged ITB

- Very low or faulty toner cartridges

- Corrupted FW in formatter

The last thing that could be tried is the manual calibration of the main gear assembly, but this can only be done by expert HP qualified engineers.

I hope this may help,

Cheers!
