CM1415fnw
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I have been around to find how to calibrate the touch screen on the CM1415fnw.

I purchased a few years ago and as off last year I stated to notice that needed to touch some where else to get the buttons working, sometimes had to make a guess where to touch.

Printing 'OK' button for an example I had to touch extreme left of the screen to actually make a print.

Yesterday I moved My printer from one desk to another on the same room and now I cant print at all as when the screen shows Print press "OK" Button, any where I touch on the screen will cancel the printing.   This goes for everything else.  What ever I touch it will execute whatever button is on the extreme right of the screen.

I have tried everything from ;

taking power plug for 60 seconds and turn back on.  no change.

Update Firmware. No change.

turn off IP6 etc.  No change.

I look on the screen when I touch anywhere else it seem to show some shadow on the right of the screen as if I am touching there...

What else can I do with this printer...???

As any one had sucess with calibrating the touch screen??

You could try the NVRAM reset. Read the caution as lots of settings wil be lost.

NVRAM initialization
Performing an NVRAM initialization resets the following settings and information:
● All menu settings are reset to factory default values.
● All localization settings, including language and country/region, are reset.
CAUTION: All onboard network settings are also reset. Be sure to print a configuration page before
restoring defaults. Make note of the IP address that is listed on the Jetdirect configuration page. You
might need to restore the IP address after an NVRAM initialization.
After performing an NVRAM initialization, reconfigure any computers that print to this product.
Uninstall and then reinstall the product software on the computers.
1. Turn the product off.
2. Touch the right arrow button. Hold this button as you turn the product on.
NOTE: The right arrow button is not visible when the product is off, but it is still active. Note its
position before you turn off the product.
3. When Permanent storage init. appears on the display, release the right arrow button.
When the product has finished the NVRAM initialization, it returns to the Ready state.

Thank you for your advice.

I followed your instruction above step by step.

After Unistalling and re-installing, The print works again without requesting the "OK" button on the touch screen.

How ever my touchscreen is still not calibrated, meaning I cant do anything on the touch screen then any option button on the extreme Right.

Got the printing to work now but touchscreen calibration is not solved.

Thank you for your advice once again.

I do not think there is a calibration routine so it is possible the actual touchscreen has gone bad and needs to be replaced. In the service manual are instructions for replacement of the control panel and since there are no instructions after installation for calibration that would indicate that there are none. You can do a google search for the service manual and download and look at the instructions and see if you want to try to replace the part.
