Solved!

Tray 2 won't close on Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M479

HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Just opened Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M479 - put paper in Tray 2 and it will not close.

No obstructions on the bottom, on level desk, etc.   Any ideas?  Any help is appreciated.

Is it because the tray sticks out? If you're using A4 or letter size paper, it should fit all the way in. But, if you are loading longer paper, the tray needs to be extended to hold the longer paper, and the end of the tray will stick out the front of the printer. If the printer doesn't display paper out or paper not loaded/load paper, then it's probably in correctly. Try printing and see what happens. If you're using A4 or letter size paper or something smaller and the tray sticks out, you may have accidentally extended the tray when it doesn't need to be. Adjust it smaller and set the guides for the paper size you're using.
