I've printed labels from MS Word with this printer several times.

The printer screen reads "Manual Feed. Plain, Letter Press ok to continue

Press ok and printer beeps

The printer will not try to take the sheet of labels at all

Tried printing from documents       Passed

Tried printing from Word                   Passed

Tried placing a new sheet of labels in the feed drawer    Fail

Solved

I followed instructions for HP tray settings and everything was set to Autoselect.

I did the same in Word print settings

I went to MS Word/Labels and at the bottom of the screen is an options button.

I  found a tray setting that was set to manual feed

Selected Autoselect

Label was printed

FINALLY!

I think the cause was that I switched over to a SSD and then installed Windows 10.

I had to reinstall Office 365

It may have been a default setting for printing labels.

Set the paper type for tray 1 as label on the printer control panel itself.  That might be the issue.
