Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

My printer starts warning me that I'm low on toner (and even has me press the button to okay 50 more prints) way too soon. I purchased a three pack of color toner the first time this happened and didn't need to use it for almost three months. In the meantime, I have to wait through all the "low toner" warnings before anything will print. I had much rather reprint a faded copy than have to  waste so much time wating for the printer to decide to start printing. There msut be a way to bypass this warning system. I was able to bypass the popup warning on my computer, but the printer is still in charge.

If the printer is on the network

AND

If the particular feature is available in the Embedded Web Server (EWS) for your printer,

try / consider

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

tab Tools > Product Information > Ink Settings

Change the "low ink threshold" settings

Apply to save any changes

Reminder:

Even if the feature is available, it may look different in your EWS setup

Check additional tabs / settings to see which features are supported.

I would like to help you with your ink pop up troubles. Open this link by wade1027 on How to disable ink level notifications. You should be able to disable the pop from there.

Let me know if this helped.

Thank you,
