I have a p1102W that is a wonderful workhorse of a printer. However, the connection seems not to be working.  When I connect printer to laptop, there is  no icon for the printer appearing on my screen.  The UPC slot is fine as I can connect other things to it but not the printer. Is it time for a new cord?  Thanks

@originale, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Are you referring to the USB port?

If yes, try using a different cord and see if that helps!

Keep me posted for further assistance.

So I'd have to buy another cord as the plug is unique. Where would I buy this?

Thanks. Seems what I'm looking for isn't displayed on the store site.

The HP Sales and Service centre in Toronto doesn't display the correct number on the HP website.  The other provider does not answer their phone. What am I to do?  This isn't very good service
