The printer is not used often. Yesterday I noticed that Printer and Scanner both are not getting accessed from desktop. When I checked in Driver and Printers found icon is disabled. I removed and tried to reinstall but its not getting recognized post installation of driver. Always showing message to start the printer or check usb connection. I checked in Device Manager, there is no usb connection in the name of hp printer, not at all present. I tried changing with another usb 2.0 cable of less than 6 ft, still same message. Tried in my Laptop (Windows 10) which is freshly installed last week, and same problem reported there.
If there is any log I can share which help you to give more guidance on troubleshoot. Please let me know if there is any other troubleshooting possible before I call up HP service center.
