Hi @Basma124

For immediate assistance with a critical firmware issue affecting your HP printer, follow these steps:

Steps to Address the Firmware Issue:

  1. Power Reset:

    • Turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord, wait for at least 60 seconds, then reconnect and turn it back on. This can sometimes reset temporary errors.
  2. Firmware Recovery:

    • If the printer is rejecting firmware downgrade attempts, try using a USB flash drive method:
      • Download the firmware recovery package from the HP support website.
      • Unzip the package and transfer the firmware file to a USB flash drive.
      • Insert the USB flash drive into the printer’s USB port and follow on-screen instructions if available.
  3. Checking Error Codes:

    • The CA.F4.2E.0B error is specific, and it may require resetting internal components or technical intervention.
  4. On-Site Service Request:

    • Given the persistent error and functionality impact, it's advisable to contact HP Support directly to request on-site service, particularly if the printer is under warranty or service contract.
