HP P1102w
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Having major issues getting an old HP Elitebook to discover my HP P1102w printer. When I plug the printer in via USB it gives me a strange message about CD DRIVE (E): HP Smart Install but I no longer have a CD for the printer. I've tried downloading drivers but with no success and am now struggling trying to connect the devices wirelessly as I'm prompted for a WPS PIN i don't have. There's no LED screen on the printer, (it's very basic) so I'm wondering whether I can retrieve the PIN using the device serial number.

 

Any advice would be much appreciated!

You can also connect the printer using the USB connection and then Change from a USB to a Wireless Connection using the below link:
