Hi,

Can you confirm what tcp and or udp ports are used by a printer when using Web Services?

Thanks,

Puredaycent.

Thanks for the information. Can you confirm the destination for HP web services? Is it www.hpconnected.com  or something else. Having some suspected Firewall issues, and the destination IP address or friendly name would be great.

This appears incorrect.

I am trying to allow only required ports between two vlans for printing and HP Web Services, added this list but the discovery fails.

Also, which ports are UDP, only 5222 5223? I've tried added all these ports for both UDP and TCP and it still fails.

If I allow all ports, discovery works fine.

After checking my firewall logs, I see it was using UDP 3702 and UDP 427 when the installer was trying to detect the printer.
