Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M281fdw
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

On my printer whenever I use copy or fax and use the feeder on the top of the printer I have started getting a black line that runs from the top of the page to the bottom of the page. However if I put the paper to copy or fax on the flatbed I do not get the line.

Is there something I can do to correct this. I just started having this problem very recently.

In most cases you have some type of debris on the ADF slit glass. Even something as small as a speck of adhesive from a sticky note is enough to block light and cause a defect.

That resolved the issue. I had no idea that a little dirt on the ADF glass could do that.
