Those lines are caused by either the transfer belt or the secondary transfer roller. Open the right side door, pull out the transfer belt and look closely at it on the end that goes into the printer first, this is the waste toner collector. If you can see toner where the edge of the collector meets the mylar belt it indicates that waste toner has built up inside the collector instead of draining into the waste toner bottle. HP incorporated some new algorithms into firmware to reduce the incidence of this but you may need to manually drain some of the excess toner out of the collector. On the right hand side of the collector there is a small shutter that is activated when the belt is installed that when opened allows toner to drain into the waste bottle located at the back of the printer. Manually activate the shutter over a garbage can and gently shake the belt. If toner runs out then you will need to shake until you remove most of the waste toner so that the waste toner management system can do it's job. Be sure to wear either vinyl or nitrle  gloves so that you do not touch the belt with your hands as this will cause splotches on prints and is very difficult to clean. Also check the secondary transfer roller while you have the right door open. It is the foam roller that contacts the belt, it can be cleaned with  dry lint free cloth. Once done, reinstall and update the firmware. In some cases the mylar cleaning blade on the belt is damaged and you will have to change the transfer belt.
