It might be helpful to some that you that you change the smart install from your computer after the install and not just on the CD which could be assumed that is what you are talking about by some users.  If your software is alread installed, o to "Search" and type in file (I just highlighted, and copied and pasted the file from this discussion) and then clicked the file icon open and I could disable both from the PC and the Printer.   The second Icon dissapeared and restarted and it did not come back.  This works, thanks for helping.  I have been trying to fix this for months
