Mopier mode does not show up anywhere when I use PCL6 universal print driver with my Laserjet 2300 and Windows 10.  So, on the software downloads page for the LJ 2300, I identified my operating system as a  Windows 8 rather than Windows 10.  This then gives me the option of downloading the PCL5 universal print driver.  With PCL5, mopier mode is available, it is not greyed out, and I can change the setting for mopier mode to disabled.  Now, with the PCL5 driver, I can collate and print multiple copies no problem.

Come on HP.  It should not be so hard.  The LJ 2300 is a solid, long lasting  piece of hardware.  If you're going to make a product that lasts, you should at lease support it and make sure people can do something simple like print multiple copies without have to go through all sorts of mental gymnastics to  figure out how to make the printer work as it is intended to work.

OK, after pulling my hair out I've just found this -

1. On the Start Menu (or Start Screen) click the settings icon (like a little cog wheel)

2. Click on Devices

3. On Bluetooth and other devices click Printers & scanners

4. Click on the printer you want to change

5 Click Open queue - the printer queue box for the printer should open

6 In the printer queue box click printer

7 Select Open as Administrator - the box should open again

8 Click on Printer

9 Select Properties - the properties box for the printer should open

10 Click on Device Settings

11 Scroll to the bottom of the window

12 Change Mopier Mode to Disabled

The printer should now print multiple copies - worked for me.

Theremust be a shorter route to opening the printer properties in Administrator Mode but if there is I don't know what it is!

In step 1, you say to click the settings icon on the "start page."  Start page of what?

I should have said Start Menu or Start Screen. I will correct.

I have a 2300 also.  What works for me is to go to HP 2300 drivers for windows 8.1.  Then download and install the pcl 5 driver.  When doing the install, use the pcl 5 6.1.0 driver.  When the driver is installed, go to printers and drivers and find the 2300 pcl5 (6.1.0) printer.  Right click on this printer and select printer properties.  When this opens, go to the device settings tab at the top.  Scroll down to mopier mode, and select disable from the drop down menu.  Now you should be able to print multiple copies of documents.  For some reason, there is no mopier mode option of the pcl6 drivers.
