Hi  @sriram31,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand how  it must be to see that Code 43 error on your USB device.   we’ll work together to get this sorted out.

Could you please share:

  • The exact HP model you’re using (laptop or desktop).
  • The type of USB device that’s showing this error (e.g., mouse, keyboard, external drive).
  • Whether this issue started recently or has been happening for a while.

Here are a few  steps you can try right away:

  1. Reconnect the device  - unplug it, wait a few seconds, and plug it back in.
  2. Try another port  -connect the device to a different USB port on your PC.
  3. Update drivers - open Device Manager, right-click the problematic USB device, and select Update driver.
  4. Power reset  - shut down your PC completely, unplug the power cable , wait a minute, then restart.
  5. Windows Update  - ensure your system is fully updated, as updates often include fixes for hardware compatibility.

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
