Hi all,

I'm setting up an HP LaserJet Pro MFP M226dw.  Connected via ethernet with a static IP.  I also want to connect it to the wireless network however when I try I get the message Status: Not Activated.  Disconnect the network cable in order to activate the wireless connection.

To me, this sounds as though you can have either ethernet or wireless but not both simultaneously.

Is that definitely the case?  Airprint works however it is preferred to join the printer to the corporate wireless.

Thanks

According to this "Getting Started" guide, you cannot use both wired and wireless network connections at the same time with the LaserJet Pro MFP M225 or M226 models:

This is not a solution. I read this as the machine MFP281fdw is not usable with both wired Ethernet and wired computers. Our high end computers are not wireless but laptops are. Will check, but if true the printer will be returned.
