We have ran a clean, calibrated, & changed cartridge. This does not get printed on every day. I can see the yellow when I open the back up & have tried cleaning it off of there but it comes back as soon as we print.

Really only three ways that you can get a line like this.

1. bad cartridge. You indicate that you have replaced the yellow cartridge, if you remove the yellow cartridge and examine the bottom does the blue/green drum have a line of toner matching the location of the defect? Is the defect in exactly the same place on both cartridges? If no, you may have gotten 2 bad cartridges.

2. The line could be coming from a defective transfer belt but that rarely results in a pure color line, more often the defect will be a muddy grey color. The transfer belt is the Mylar belt under the toner cartridges. You can look at it to see if there is a line on the belt.

3. If the first cartridge leaked it may have deposited loose toner on the belt and the secondary transfer roller. A defect can then persist until all the spilt toner is used up. You will likely have to run up to 50 pages of color to clear it out.
