colorlaserjet pro MFP M477 fdn
Microsoft Windows 8 (32-bit)

The color cartridges are full, but I can only print in black and white. I went to print preferences but there was no color tab, I wonder if it is because under Advanced: color management: ICM is disabled. I also made sure the print all text in black was disabled too.

ICM is irrelevant, don't worry about that.

Try going to Settings (that is, Settings for the PC, not the printer), then Devices, then Printers & Scanners, then select your printer from the list of printers, click Manage, select Printing Preferences, and look in the lower right corner of the window, and see if "Print in Greyscale" is set to "on".    If it is, set it to "off," and click on "Apply".

In windows 10, I do not see the print in greyscale option. The printer stoped printing in color suddenly but the cratdriges are full

Exactly which driver are you using for the printer?

If you print supplies status page does print in colour?

Maybe someone was playing administrator and by mistake checked the option for restricting colour printing over EWS ?

I went back and deselcted the driver and then reinstall it and selected it again. The printer is now functioning normally. Thanks a lot!
