Hp 2600n
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have a HP2600n which has very low print volume at 11,989 pages.  It had/has a color fade issue(no red, hardly any yellow, blue fine, black fine)  which I did the tear down of the unit and cleaned the mirrors and lens.  Upon reassembly and calibration it was printing red and yellow again however it's still not fulling print the red correctly.  I tore it all apart again recleaned, recaliabrated a few times, it still isnt printing correctly.  any suggestions?

Post a sample of the configuration page from the reports menu.

Here's the configuration page, and a simple color test i've been printing from word.  My cousin had giving me this printer and it was sitting idle for 2 years.  Thank you for any input you can provide!201512.jpg201513.jpg

To be honest the colors are not that bad and in fact they all look a little faded. Could be the toners, are they original hp or aftermarket. I think there is a density setting which you may want to increase to max. If new toners do not help, then maybe the transfer belt has issues.

The toner is original hp,  I'm assuming that they are the original ones that would have come with the printer from new as the printer only has 12,00 prints through it.  Not sure of the shelf life of the toner.  I looked through the settings on the printer but couldn't find and thing to change the density.  Sounds like the next step is to try new toner.

I would jut purchase 1 toner (magenta) just see if there is a difference. If there is a density setting it will be under the print quality menu. Also make sure econo mode is turned off if it has one.
