Product: LaserJet Pro MF181fw
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

I have a wireless printer that from time to time stop working. We have both pc and mac and both are facing the same issue. When we try to print a document the printer window says the printer is online, but busy, however the printer is in rest mode and there is nothing in the print queue. Usually the problem is solved by rebooting the printer, but it's rather annoying to have to reboot the printer several times a day.

Hi,

A such would likely occour due to a network connectivity issue with the router.

How is the signal strenth?

 

May you see any recommendation within the Troubleshooting section? if any such  is shown be sure to follow it.

 

I would also suggest ensuring the latest firmware is installed for your printer, version 20171210 which can be updated from your PC or your Mac,expend the Firmware section within the link below and download it from your computer

 

be sure to restart the printer prior running a firmware update so there will not be any connection lost during the process:
