yes you did what you can. not your fault the app people at hp ain't doing their job

Learning4, I feel your pain.

After installing this application, I noticed no print service was installed which probably has a great deal to do with why the print job isn't received by the printer - it hasn't been sent!

 

If you don't really want to use the cloud, there is a work-around to print over your local wireless network (ie no internet required). 

 

The SOLUTION to your problem is to uninstall ePrint. 

 

Instead, install 'HP Print Srevices Plugin' (PlayStore app).  Note that once the app is installed, the printservice must be enabled, or turned on. There is a HPSupport doc for this. To use the app, open any document and under the 'more' menu (3 dots) there will be a 'Print' option. Select it. Done.
