I ve done everything I know to have this error 0x800401f3 fixed and nothing works, I cant print anything , I have docs on my pc and I cant print them, Ive uninstalled and reinstalled software and nothing, ive rest the printer like i saw on this page by plugging and unplugging etc. it was working alright when I first installed it

Welcome to the HP Support Community. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries. I have reviewed your post and I understand there's an issue with the "0x.." error.

 

Don't worry, I'm here to help! 

 

Let's try these steps -

 

Step 1 Printer Reset -
1) Take out the cartridges. 
2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall. 
3) Wait for 30 seconds.  
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector. 
5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

 

Step 2 Update the printer's firmware -
Refer to this document for steps.

This is unhelpful and another example of the copy and paste customer service that users find frustrating. While understanding that 'have you tried turning it off and back on again' is somewhat of a sacred utterance, it is far from the pinnacle of customer service excellence.
