This process did NOT work for me.  Is there something else I can try.  This printer was almost brand new when this happened.  It has been sitting idle ever since.  I would prefer to not spend more money on another printer, especially if this is any indication of the life expectancy

@Mjjbk: I'm afraid you may either have to get your printer repaired or replaced if the error message continues or persists as one or some of the printer circuit boards inside the printer has either been shot (aka short circuited) or has malfunctioned.
