Hi bapaknyaanak2,
Were you able to print the hardware self test?
What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (did it print the test page, any error messages)
Are you having this issue with all applications? (you mentioned you can print sometimes 1 out of 5 pages)
If the hardware self test prints, it could be software related or hardware related. (USB cable or port on computer not getting enough power)
Is this a Laptop or Desktop?
The USB cable should be connected directly to the computer and shouldn't be longer then 6 feet. Try another USB port on the computer. Try another USB cable.
If this is a Laptop, check the power management on the computer to see if that is causing the issue. Go into the Device Manager, under Universal Serial Bus Controllers, for each USB root hub, right click and left click on Properties, for power management remove the check mark for "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". It allows the computer to limit or turn off power for this device. How do I get into Windows Device Manager?
If you are still having issues, I would suggest to uninstall and reinstall the printer software to see if it is software related.
Thank You.

Hi @bapaknyaanak2,
I see that you are having issues printing, the green ready button keeps blinking. I would like to help you.
If the printer isn't in a Ready state, then the firmware won't update. We need to resolve this issue first. Usually the Ready light will blink when processing a print job.
I would do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Try and print a hardware self test.
- Make sure that the product is idle and the Ready light (
) is on.
- Press and hold the Resume button (
) for two to three seconds, and then release the button. The product prints a self-test report and a supplies status page.
Here is a document for Blinking Lights on the HP LaserJet Pro CP1025 and CP1025nw Color Printers.
Download and run the Print and Scan Doctor to clear out any jobs in the print queue and it will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it. http://www.hp.com/go/tools>Using HP Diagnostic Tools for HP Printers in Windows.
Then try printing from the computer again.
How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)

Gemini02, I'm so glad when you mentioned that the cable printer could not be more than 6 feet (1.8m), as this seems to be the only thing that I had not done. I changed the cable, then tried it for couple of days (this was the reason i postponed replying the result to the forum :))).. and walah.. it works.. !!!! Thanks again Gemini02....
