Hello, @SHUBHAM7800 - Hope you are well 🙂
Allow me to welcome to HP Support Forums! It is a great platform to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others!
Going through your post, I understand that you are facing issues while installing the Deskjet printer. Try the steps listed below to try and fix the issue:
- First, unplug the USB cable from the printer if present.
- Go to Control Panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Deskjet printer entries and uninstall them.
- Now go to Control Panel – Devices and Printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
- Press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" (There is a space between .exe & /) and press enter.
- Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
- Again, go to the Run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
- Restart your computer.
- Now click http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL61004/mp-147040-2/DJ3830_Basicx64_40.11.1124.exe to download and install the software.
- Connect the USB cable if prompted and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!
Good luck 🙂

Hello, @SHUBHAM7800
Try to disable the User Account Control (UAC) and then try to install the machine. Here are the steps:
- Type UAC in the search field on your taskbar. (If the search field isn't visible, right-click the Start button and choose Search.)
- Click Change User Account Control settings in the search results.
- Then do one of the following:
- To turn UAC off, drag the slider down to Never notify and click OK.
- To turn UAC on, drag the slider up to the desired level of security and click OK.
- You may be prompted to confirm your selection or enter an administrator password.
- Reboot your computer for the change to take effect.
Once the UAC is disabled restart the PC and then install the machine. You can turn on the UAC once done.
Hope that helps!
Cheers 🙂

I had the same problem and followed the suggestions which did not work. I found that if I went to Downloads and just clicked to run I then got the same response, however if I right clicked and went to Run as Administrator then it all worked very well and installed. Following the on-screen instructions the printer now works well.
