Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M277dw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am the possessor of a color Laser Jet Pro MFP M277dw. I get updates almost every week, and the update software is very strange. As I am clicking at the update system, it takes a very long time ending up with the text saying that I shall either remove the actual update or add another device. When I say no thanks to this, I will get a message saying that my update has been successful (but only if I  cancel this message). I don't understand why I have to go through this illogical issue. Moreover, I don't understand why it should be necessary to update so frequently, especially when there is no explanation of the reason why.

The two exclamation marks just annoy me as I think there must be some severe problem with the software, even if the printer works all right.

Kindest regards

Greetings @ahw,

Thanks for accessing the HP Support Forums for extra support! I see that you are experiencing issues with the Window Updates for the printer software. I would be happy to help you.

Since the printer is working, I would suggest to hide the updates.

One poster tried the Show or hide updates and it resolved their issue.

You can also give feedback to Microsoft and hopefully they will release an update to correct the feature in the operating system. You can learn how here; Updates and feedback.

If this helps you to reach a solution, please click the "Accept as Solution" button. If you wish, to say thanks for my effort to help, click the "Thumbs Up" to give me a Kudos. Please let me know the outcome. Have a nice day!
