M252 Laserjet
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have six page document and I wnat to print pages 1 and 4 with page one on one side and page 4 on the backside.  This is my reason for purchasing a double sided laserjet printer.

Anyone know how to code the entry? 1, 4   or how would you do it?

thanks,

Jackie

From your description, I'm assuming that you just want to print pages 1 and 4, but pages 2, 3, 5,and 6 are not to be printed at all.

Some (but certainly not all) applications allow you to select specific page ranges.

For example, Word allows this:

Capture.PNG

I don't think you can print the way you want with regular software.

I would have manually duplexed, I would have printed page one flipped it over and put it in tray 1 of the printer face down and then printed page four on the back side.

STILL LOOKING FOR A REPLY FROM ANYONE THAT CAN DO THIS. thanks!

the descriptive reply worked very well.

Also it reminded me there are other ways of doing something. I downloaded the FedEx invoice to my computer from their website and then, once it was on my computer (I did it in PDF), I was able to print 1,4 in greyscale on one sheet of paper.

So thanks very much for the inspiration.

this looks like a solution. Let me try it and make comments about it then. THANK YOU SO MUCH for your visuals, really appreciate the time you took. You made the correct assumption from my post. I have never used the Custom Print option.

The particular item I am trying to print is FedEx invoice. It has four pages and I want to print 1 and 4 only.  So, now I will go and see if there is a custom print available. I do know that when I choose 1,4 or 1, 4 it says it is an invalid choice. Back in a bit.

Totally works if I download the invoice and print using options on my computer.  Thanks so much for the inspiration to look around and try different methods.

thanks again.
