Good Day. Thank you for posting your query in the HP community. I read the post regarding issues with the printer’s password. I will be delighted to assist you here.
Superb description and spectacular troubleshooting and commendable diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂
For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this:
- Did this occur after changing your router or ISP?
- Do you get any error messages?
- Are you able to access the EWS page of the printer?
For now, try these steps:
- Please perform a hard reset on the printer from this link: https://hp.care/2Jw4SIS by following instructions from the section “Step 2: Reset the printer”
- Then from this user guide: https://hp.care/2fIPi2U restore factory defaults on the printer. Please refer to page 100 for instructions on how to do it.
Now check if the issue gets fixed. If it continues, then I will send you instructions on how to perform an NVRAM reset or Super NVRAM on the printer to factory settings in a private message. Please check your Forum private message box for instructions from me. This should resolve the issue regarding the password.
Perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. Good luck to you. I will keep a watch for your response.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
